Just checking to see if this is normal. I have my lid closed and I lift the laptop up with my hands at the sides. The right side makes a clicking noise like a button being pressed when I put slight pressure on it. I have done this five times now and I don't notice any breaks or cracks in the exterior of the laptop. I guess it comes from the right side since so much weight is on the left. I'm trying to be more careful now but, I don't know if this is a spring mechanism.

Not a normal issue, I think. Have never experienced this myself. I guess its a minor issue with your hinges.

Mine gives a slight click when you push the monitor all the way back. There's a click from the left hinge. It's solid, it's just when you push it all the way back, then press a little.
It's probably just plastic rubbing. -
same here.. when u push monitor.. ull hear a click from it...

same here, i open the lid, no problem, when i close or move the lid sometimes makes a minor sound like creak when lid is moving, seems that left hinge is more tight . . . .
my notebook was made in April 2010 , and yours?
i think that all notebook made in april have this "issue" lool -
Mine does the same thing, if you look closely you will notice its the plastic clip that holds the top of the case/keyboard area, with the bottom right by the card reader. I can reproduce the problem with the laptop open by pressing down in the same area with the laptop on my desk.
Once I figured out what the problem is I figured its so minor there is no point in returning just for that.
I had a macbook pro (pre unibody) that had a similar problem with the top of the case not being securely attached to the bottom, it wasnt until I replaced the HD that I was able to fix it abit.
