    Hello,

Just wondering if there are any AutoCAD Architecture users out there using a Asus G73JH-A2. If so, Last night my computer randomly froze several times and forced me to reboot it (could not even run task manager). Anyone experience similar issues?

    Thanks,

    ATI + Proapps = Fail.

Ive been using max and maya for 8 years now and myself and the entire industry can tell you, if your doing pro work, stick with Nvidia.

I believe he's asking for a solution for his current set-up, not a recommendation to go purchase something else.

I used an HP Pavilion with an ATI chip in it for 4 years using this same software before I purchased my current machine and I don't believe it ever froze up on me, so I wouldn't be so fast to point at ATI as the culprit.

Solution: Replace your videocard. Do work on your desktop. Nothing I know of, will give you reliable autocad over long periods of time. And as much as you think it is stable, it will fail in the middle of a big project :(

I'm an AutoCAD Architecture user myself and I've experienced the same issue a few times. It seems to only happen with AutoCAD series as I have yet to experience it with other AutoDesk applications (3ds Max, Revit, etc).
