hey guys, spotted this on sale at cowboom so i thought i'd post it up if any of you are looking for a cheap G73JH. cowboom is reputable i've seen them around before liquidating returned/refurbished inventory for best buy. free shipping and i think tax varies by state. it's probably a total toss up regarding the auo and lg screens though, but the price is right.

So many ppl returned them now they try to sell them out half price :p
Most likely all of them have some problems or broken.

"Most likely"? Where'd you gather this empirical evidence- all the refurbs that've been purchased? I would of course say buyer beware but I think "most likely" they're not "all broken".

CowBoom is owned by Best Buy, and they list them as fully functional, so I would think they'll honor them to work.

Sold out. In the meantime, it makes me wonder what the markup was if they can sell the refurbs for $861.

    Oh, and 48 cents. :)

Would Asus give a 1 or 2 year warranty for a reburb? Cowboom will let you return within 30 days; that's not enough for me since my current G73 just crashed after 3 months.

can we buy squaretrade warranty on this?

if yes, then its still a great deal including the price of extra warranty.

Don't know about squaretrade, but Asus does cover this for 90 days and (crossing fingers) I was able to register mine for the 1-year Accidental Warranty. Also, the sticker on the bottom says 24 month warranty, but its supposed to only be a year from Best Buy so I don't know whats up with that. I'll look into it after I deal with getting recovery DVD's from Asus, since Cowboom doesn't send it with them.
