Okay so i just got a new motherboard for my Asus G73JH-RBBX05 and installed 4x 2GB DDR3-1333 along with it. Laptop runs great been working everynight playing nonstop games for 10days straight.. No lockups, restarts, or BSOD's.

The issue is 75% of the time i go to boot the laptop i get no sound from the get go. Also the usb ports on the left side arent working either.. It will boot right into windows with the same issue. So if i leave it in windows for 30-1hr and restart it will be fine. But not alwayz sometimes it takes longer..

Does anyone have a solution for this? I got 4 days left to try and return the motherboard if its faulty.. but its guarenteed to be 100% brandnew out of a brandnew working laptop. So i doubt its the motherboard but you never know..

    Bios 206?
    vBios w/e stock is.

    Thanks for your help :)

Is there no sound from the built-in speakers or is it just from the headphone socket?

I have a G73JW that I think is constructed pretty similarly to your model. There is a small circuit board near the front left of the computer that runs the headphone and microphone sockets and the front USB port on that side. If the problem only affects the headphone output and the front USB it could be a problem with that small circuit board and not the motherboard. You might want to check that that circuit board's cable securely connected to the motherboard inside.

If the problem also affects the speakers and the rear USB port on the left side it could be a motherboard issue.
