Sorry for the re-post to this location but I posted this question in another category and it's been about a week now with no hint of an answer.

Does anyone out there with the new Asus G73JH Gaming laptop know how to remove and replace the Chiclet keys on the laptop???.... I need to move the actual keys themselves to reflect a Dvorak configuration....

I can tell the OS to read the KB as Dvorak but I have yet to learn it myself (can't really touch type Dvorak yet)... I had only just started using it when I needed to get this new laptop... I contacted Asus and they told me the keys are too delicate to be removed which I expect is a load of crap.... I DID however pay a lot for this system and don't want to hose my KB...

I am hoping there is maybe a video some place that shows how to correctly remove/replace these keys... or someone that really knows what they are doing with these Asus machines that might be able to help.

    Thanx in advance...

I know this is probably what you don't want to hear but why not get a Dvorak external keyboard cuase I don't think it's easily done.
    Good Luck!

If you search the owner's forum, someone was going to return their laptop because the LED backlighting failed. Someone gave him a link to the replacement keyboard. It was 25 bucks. If I were going to do what you are suggesting, I would order a replacement keyboard and move keys around on it. That way if I screwed it up, its no big deal. It's probably easier to work with and figure all that out if it's not mounted.
