Where does the air come in and where does it go out in Asus G73JW?
What are the holes under the laptop used for?

intake like many other laptops it from all the holes like USB and other ports, the keyboard is also a big one. The holes under the laptop also bring air in, mostly for hard drives to breathe

From what I heard, there's no air intake from the keyboard.
I believe the intake is below the screen.

No specific reason. I'v just been wondering about that. It would be just nice to know. I also want to know how to position my notebook cooler correctly [Zalman NC2000] under my g73.

It draws air from a few sources, but none of them are directly over either fans or where the CPU and GPU are.

Those holes are much near to the processor chip. It might be significant enough to contribute less temperatures on your processor as air comes inside through those grills :)

I've wondered about that myself with my G53JW. If I were to get a notebook cooler, I don't see how it could help with ventilation if there is no significant air intake from under.
