Hello all, as of recent, my laptop has been shutting off randomly, as if it ran out of battery or as if you yanked out the battery. I checked the charger and it's working fine. Also, sometimes the screen freezes, but it has only happened twice.

Also, the right fan of the laptop(the right as if your facing the screen) starts blowing really loud and sometimes it would shut off after it happens.

I was wondering if there is any way to fix these problems.

ok, so i downloaded the temp reader and im getting around 80 degrees Celsius on idle, and the fan is blasting up for some reason (started 2 days ago). Then i put i a small game and it went to around 84C.

It doesnt really happen on games. Usually its battlefield bad company 2, but ive been playing it for months on this computer without a problem. It happened twice while i was on the internet too.

I've had it since February of this year. And what's the low panel? I'm not tech savvy much.

Spot on LVDeath, Idle temp us way to high, I idle around 50 C, up to 60 is fine. turn computer upside down, remove 4 screws that hold the large panel in place (this exposes the hard drives). This should remove dust and hopefully reduce temps.

This thread may be of help also http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/532474-get-out-air-cans.html. Try to keep the fans from spinning when you blow the air into them.

]Ok. Also when the fan wasn't blasting up so high(I still don't know why it does that) I was idling at 46C. What is LVDeath?

Oh, and on the bottom of my computer there is only 2 screws that lead to the panel. And then there is ten screws all around the bottom of it. I remove the two screws right?

Edit: I opened up the panel and I see two metal boxes which I'm guessing are the harddrives. I see the RAM sticks and I think I see the GPU. I don't see dust or filth though. Looks new.

can you open the bottom panel of the g53jw in the same way? I don't see any screws there. Just those rubber feet. Also, i don't see any reset pin hole button. Does the g53jw lack the reset button as well?

Ok, now when I try and start up the computer, all the lights but the keyboard are on and the screen doesn't work while the fans are blowing out. What's the problem now?

Edit: now it turns on for 5 seconds and the. Shuts off again. I think I might need to send it back. :(

Edit 2: now it works.... ???? God why is this computer doing this? I've only had it for 6 months. Also, should I do a system restore?

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone hav an idea to what is going on? Is it overheating? Faulty psu? A virus? Because now I'm idling at ~50C but sometimes when I play a game or even go on the internet it shuts off. And sometimes I can play BFBC2 for hours and nothing happens.
