    Hi all,

this is my first post in the Asus forum :)
So I have a G73JW-A1 and I wanted to ask you guys if it supports 3d gaming with the nvidia 3d glasses?
How does it work exactly, I just need the glasses and nothing else?
Also does it support 3d output if the TV is 3d as well?

    thanks,
    latebeat

    Hello and welcome,
The answer is NO, G73JW-A1 doesn't support NVidia 3D Vision by itself.
For that you need a G73JW-3DE (it already has the 3d display, IR emitter and 3d glasses)

Thanks for the answer, I too realized that by doing a bit of googling.
I just wanted to double-check cause I was a bit confused cause the guy I bought it from keeps asking me if I wanna buy the $200 3d glasses everytime I go back to his store

Well, in theory it should work provided you have the USB IR Emitter, the 3d Glasses, a compatible 3D display and appropriate drivers installed, but no idea if it will really work in practice.

Tbh it is cheaper to get the -3DE version which is guaranteed to work in 3d than to make an -A1 run 3d Vision
