Okay, So I just started playing Assasins Creed 2 and I get these random graphic issues where the game will just "freeze" and then I hear this trrr/grrr type of noise on the audio and there's nothing I can do cept for holding down the power button and then restarting the pc. Anyone knows any fix to this? I thought it could be a driver issue but then that should be happening with all game not just this one and so far this is the only game i have had this issue with.

Yeah , same here. After I updated the Vbios the problem when away.
Also check your computer bios and if they are not the latest then update them also. This alone will take care of most of the problems we have been seeing.
I made a bootable thumb drive and used the update in the bios to update my Notebook, I would use that as I think you have less problems updating the bios . I know that there is an updated software program that you can use for the bios update but I have had issues with that in the past, and I have fixed many a computer after a fail with the software updater. So you will have to read and choose for yourself on what to use, there is a write up here on how to do the update and where to get the bios. Follow that and you should be fine.

I already updated the Vbios and bios211 as well. I updated the vbios with the latest one chasity had in one of his threads.

@Phnx: it is not a GSOD issue.

Anyways..the problem seems to be really random cuz I just played for like 3 hours without any errors lol =.=. Anyhow I am going to ignore this issue unless it comes back up again.

    Thanks for reply guys.

Nah I haven't overclocked even once. And nope I haven't touched my laptop's ram. It looks like some random bug lol if it doesn't happen repeatedly I am not going to worry about it.

Striker1010, I just had the same issue. I have my laptop less than 7 days before I RMA'd it to ASUS. I made sure to document the issues with video, pictures and a narrative. I tried everything I could think of tried all sorts of Catalyst Versions, disabling Power Gear, disable creative driver, updated everything and tried all the tricks I could find here. The games I tried were Batman Arkham Asylum, and Mafia II. They both did it repeatedly, but Star Wars Force Unleased 2 did not. I was able to snap a picture of all these little green squares that dotted the game, after it locked up. My laptop was just delivered this morning, so we will see in the next couple of days what happens.
