Hi, could someone please post the latest Asus released VBios file for the G73Jh as the links on a past thread don't work.
I have also been told I should update the VBios for the G73Jh and is the latest 38352.001?
Thanks!

Hey there fellow G73jh user in 2020!
I have the offical VBios update (93vBIOSa) and the custom version Chastity made (fix_od2) with unlocked Overdrive and reduced battery clocks.

Many thanks Swaaye
Would it be best to use the official vBios? I have no idea of how stable the custom one is and is it safe to change from one to the other? Cheers -
The official 93v one is certainly the safest bet.
The only benefits of the OD2 vBIOS are overclocking and a tiny bit more battery life. I wouldn't suggest overclocking anymore.
By the way, if you aren't seeing any crashes with 3D programs/games then you don't really need to flash the vBIOS at all. That was why they released the new version. Some Radeon 5800 boards would crash with a grey screen. The "grey screen of death". It was probably some sort of video memory problem that they were able to workaround.
Flashing the BIOS or vBIOS is a risky endeavor for sure. If it fails to flash properly you are going to have dead hardware.Last edited: May 13, 2020jr15 likes this. -
That clarifies it really well for me Swaaye. I know it is a bit of an old laptop now but seems to be running ok overall. You are right about battery life. It is poor!
Thanks very much for your help. -
Hi Swaaye,
The actual VBios file BR38352.001 in the offical VBios update (93vBIOSa) does not extract says it is corrupt. Could you please check again thanks. -
Update on this. The files are good, jr15 just had some unfamiliarity with how to extract them.

Swaaye is totally correct. Both my systems showed the extracted VBios BR38352.001 file as a WinRAR archive so I tried to extract it.
Thanks to swaaye I ignored this and copied the file to my bootable usb and it flashed perfectly.
Cheers and appreciate your help swaaye.swaaye likes this.
