How much battery life can i get from the G73SW while web browsing at 30% brightness? I am really hoping to get around 3hrs.

3 hours are real, but never guaranteed - a few minutes of 3d screensaver take a lot of battery.

my battery life is about 2:30 and my profile is more performance than battery life oriented...

Yes, i can get very close to three hours on my JH. We can't guaranty it'll be exactly 3 hours but something between 2.5-3hours is realistic enough.

The G73SW can do 3.5-4.0 hrs on Power Savings. The older models can do 2.5-3.0 hrs. JH requires a vBIOS mod.

    I must be doing something terribly wrong. I can't get more than 1 hour 50 - 2 on 10% brightness, CPU @ 70%, and on 250/500. lol

I've been averaging 3hrs with wifi on and just browsing and occasional flash vid, with 30% brightness, cpu at 50%.

Lower your clocks to 100/150 :p. That's how i get 3 hours on power saving. You might want to recalibrate your battery too.

I set mine to 50/50 and turn my CPU frequency & screen brightness all the way down.

0% CPU frequency just doesn't cut it for Firefox 4 lol. Not with my surfing habits. And my G73 just doesn't play nice with low clocks. :/

On the other hand though, since owning the G73, I've become quite awesome at finding power outlets, and I've got one of those pocket chairs so I can sit anywhere. :D
