Hello, I'm having a problem with my G73SW 3DE. I accidentally uninstalled the ATK package from the laptop and now I can't use the shortcuts and most importantly the backlit keyboard cannot be turned on. I searched google for help and found this: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download G73Sw and downloaded the "ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities"
I then installed it, rebooted and an error came out: "You have to install ATK0100"
I searched for the whole day and cannot find a working version. Hopefully someone can help me solve this problem.
Cheers!

Try the ATK package from here: G73/74/53 Series Driver and Application Reference
10/25/11 version 1.0.0.00014
Or go directly to the ASUS FTP site:
ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/nb/Drivers -
I facepalmed. I forgot about the disc that came with my pc.
So I installed the ATK package in the disc and it is working again. Thanks for indirectly helping me. xD -
it's recommended to use the latest one from the web. the ones on the CD are outdated.

Could someone help me out also, which files do I actually need. I did a fresh install the other day and installed the ATK package off the driver disk that came with the machine but no joy with the lights.

^^^ Do the keyboard lights flash when you turn on the machine?

is only a few weeks old (it appears to be for the G74SX however):
