Hello. I recently purchased an Asus G73SW laptop from Bestbuy. It works very well until I use it to play any game. During gameplay, the laptop will randomly with no warning at all shutdown and restart with the "Windows did not shut down correctly" screen appearing. However, this only seems to happen when the laptop is plugged in to the power supply. I have monitored the temps of the GPU and the highest I have ever seen it reach is 61 degrees C so it shouldnt be shutting down due to overheating. It seems like since this only happens when the laptop is plugged in to the power supply that the problem isnt with the laptop itself, but I do not know how to go about fixing this, as it is very annoying. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If that only happens when the unit is plugged in, it is possible that the adapter itself is bad, but that could also just be a product of the higher operating settings. Have you talked to Best Buy about replacing the adapter? If you can try a different one, you could at least narrow that part down.

You mentioned your GPU temperature but how does the CPU look?
