Hi guys... I've been lurking the forum for a while, and decided to make an account. I have a question about the best buy asus models. Can you replace the video card? That is my only question.., and if someone can make a video that would be AMAZING! thanks!

Best Buy GPU's are awful and it would cost you more to actually buy the 192bit 460M GPU to replace it anyway so either way you lose if you decide to buy one.

Stay well clear of them if you intend to game at 1080p into 2012. Put the money towards the full version and get yourself an A or XN model etc etc.

Oh sorry I misread you already have the Best Buy model then I take it?

    :( balls.

Ok well I dont know anyone that has done it yet or has attempted this as the 460M is reverse engineered by Asus and although all of the possibilities point to the fact it should probably work with minimal tweaking you would need to find someone selling it from maybe a faulty laptop selling spares and repairs. You could buy one from factory but expect a costly price for very little return.

Recommend you just look into overclocking using something like MSI Afterburner and stress testing using Furmark to find your highest overclock with the 128bit. The 460M's overclock very well as long as the temps are stable. Use HWINFO sensors to check the temps when doing so.
