You have to enter bios to disable cores or to re-enable them .
Throttlestop for me is only used to change the speed of the CPU lower or higher & lock it there.

Bios Mod - не работает. Менять параметры в Bios можно сколько угодно, все равно после загрузки в Windows ничего не меняется.

Is it possible to update your unlock BIOS for G53SW (203) with the latest Intel OROMs? (11.6.xxxx)
There are compatability issues with the latest SATA 3 SSDs.

    Hello

Sorry my English is not good.

Can I with the Mod Bios 213 for Asus G73JH control the Fan Speed for GPU Ati 5870?
Or can i Control when the Fan are go on or out?

Nochmal auf Deutsch, falls das hier jemand versteht.

Kann ich mit dem Mod Bios den Grafikkarten Lüfter regeln?
Oder zumindest sagen bei welcher Temp er an und ausgehen soll?

Hey Scott, was trying to PM you but, I kept getting this msg. "dbrasco75, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation". The reason I was trying to PM is because, I noticed it's been almost a year since your last post and wasn't sure if you still follow this thread. So, hopefully you see this post. I also have the G73jh-BST7 model, I'm pretty new to computer gaming. I've been a gamer my whole life but, that was console. I got this rig, xmass 2011, and when I first got it it had bios 211. I then downloaded 213 from asus's g73 support sight and the only knowledge I had was from watching one tutorial on youtube on how to update a bios. At the time had no idea that their were a number of diff and safer was to update. So, I downloaded 213 to my hdd which is in NTFS format and updated using the WIN BIOS flash utility. I don't know how but I got real lucky cause it ended up working. Of course a year later of learning about this rig has all come from this sight. So, I would like to update with Version 5: G73JhAS.213.Moddedv5. I've verified the 4f4d33bf11a3904c5a44381431e52aaa Checksum with two program's the MD5 Sum generator which you recommend and digestIT 2004 here's the link if you want to check them out digestIT 2004. the sum verified on both programs. I've now put the G73JhAS.213.Moddedv5 on my usb drive which is still in FAT32 from when I did the v93 vbios flash "which was a god send." I restarted, hit F2 get into bios, scroll over to ez flash hit enter, I can see the G73JhAS.213.Moddedv5 file scroll over hit enter, "are you sure you want to flash bios". "yes or no", and this is where I get stuck. I must have made it to this point about 4 times now and I keep canceling. partly because the warranty's up, partly because of the other post's in this thread about people that bricked there's trying to flash. one question I wanted to ask is would I have a problem flashing since I've already done the v93 vbios flash. and if it's not a problem would I have to do the vbios flash again after doing the G73JhAS.213.Moddedv5 flash? Thank's for the hard work you've put into this it's very much appreciated, and while we gamer's/computer enthusiast's have a passion for getting our rig's in tip top shape, we also know how much of a headache this can be sometimes. Hopefully this post find's you soon, would like to try flashing, but i'll hold off until I hear back.

Guys, I have just killed my G73JH after flashing this BIOS using a NTFC flash drive (yes, I know... should have read the post carefully..). I have just brought the notebook to a repair store, but I'm not trusting the guy to program the BIOS correctly. Do you guys have any concrete sugestion? Should I order a new pre-programmed BIOS chip from eBay? Should I order a new motherboard?
Thank you very much, and sorry for the change of subject. I tried to send a MP to some of you guys, but there was no MP button on your profiles.
    Thanks again!

I have been fighting with this issue for a while, mainly after Mech Warrior online came out on beta. been on an off trying to solve it, FINALLY after flashing the bios i was still getting the CPU reduced to 800mhz and then backup to 2600mhz. I used ASUS GPU tweak to overlock my graphics card to 755mhz and it made no difference. I would still get constant drops to 800mhz then it would "release and go back to 2600.

I then reduced my GPU to 605mhz and succesfully got through a 5 minute game without it dropping the CPU clock. im going to continue testing to find a happy medium but I think the power pack may actually be underpowered for the laptop as well as Prochot killing it, i'll need to test the line draw for the PSU, But anyone having cpu issues try and slow your GPU down.

    Hello there!
I own G73jh and after service fixing my graphic card I have now problem with this PROCHOT thing.
I succesfully flashed BIOS with this modded version (big thanks to modder for this work) disabled PROCHOT so my CPU works now on full frequency.

But i still cant slow down these damn fans! This thing drives me crazy! SpeedFan reads 4950 RPM with famous 102°C
Please help me set it up!

What stress test? If you go over a certain TDP turbo will throttle down your speed correctly.

I am looking for the modded g73jw bios? Is it possible to only activate the BD-PROCHOT feature and not the full list of features which might end up in a lock?

I don't think you even need this update if you have a G73jh which uses a Clarksfield I-7 and not the Sandy bridge one, which is the one with the problem I believe. Unless there is some BIOS config you need added?

Here is the long lost link to the ASUS G73-JH its the 213 bios also you MUST flash this in EZFlash or DOS via a device formatted via FAT32 or you can have a high chance of BRICKING!!!!!

    NOTE
you can edit the BIOS yourself on your own to acheive this but mind you its better use this its been tested and confirmed working and linked is the final revision ENJOY!!!

    @ scottdrmyers

Many thanks for the updated BIOS for my Asus G73JH.

I was hoping you might be able to answer the following question as well.

How can I boot my computer from an SD card inserted into the internal card reader?

I believe it is installed on a usb controller but there doesn't seem to be any option for that in BIOS.

I'm able to boot off a usb flash drive without any problems, and presume that an external USB car reader with a micro SDHC card in it would work there, but I wanted to use the internal card reader for booting.

Any further assistance would be much appreciated.

    Thanks once again.
