I'm using Chastity's vBios and I always uninstall the old drivers, reboot and then do a driver sweep before installing new drivers and this has always worked for me.
When I tried to install 13.1 I got a Bluescreen, because the driver could not be installed properly. I restarted my Laptop uninstalled the driver, rebooted, did a driver sweep and then tried again.
Now the driver doesn't start after being installed, the laptop acts as if there was no driver installed and Windows keeps telling me the driver signature is corrupted.

Try just installing it again after the fail without the uninstall and sweep.

Why not download and try Catalyst 13.2 beta7? I have been using that for the last couple of weeks. Works flawlessly with Tombraider, Deadspace 3, Far Cry 3, and Bioshock Infinite (so far, only just got it).

Sometimes when it get's stuffed up from an install (even after sweeping old ones) I find that installing a different version, then the one you actually want, fixes it up. I used to do driversweeping and uninstalling old drivers, but with the more recent catalyst (11+) they seem to work fine simply over the top of the old one.
