    Hello, umm I just registered so i don't know exactly where to post this question, I hope here is alright. The thing is, i bought an Asus G73jh from best buy in june last year, and all this time it has worked fairly well (besides touchpad issues and random crashes on games with settings to the max) and finally after all this time I realized that only 1 of the 2 fans actually spits out heat when playing games or when ever put into some demanding tasks... (the right one) and only until now it occurred to me that it might not be a good sign... However i could understand if it was meant to be like that, because the only side of the laptop that gets hot during games is the upper-right side (behind of which is the fan that spits out a lot of heat actually) but the other vent doesn't seem to ever turn on, is that a problem or is it normal? I hope my question isn't too vague, thank you.

    If a fan really isn't spinning when pushing the system hard that is not a good thing at all.

    I would recommend you 'stop pushing it hard' and get it in for warranty repairs right away.

    Good luck.

    A dual fan setup where one fan dont spin up.
    Yeah, i would try to get that fixed as soon as possible.

    Try asking in the Asus Gaming notebook subforum.
    Should be a good number ow owners with the same modrl, and hopefully some helpfull advice.

    I have asked the mod to move this thread, but if you are facing the computer the one on the right is the GPU fan - it should be on at temps about 45 C or so.
    The one on the left is the CPU fan and i can barely hear mine, but I know it spins because I check it with this tool
    HWiNFO32 Download
    This will also allow logging temps while in game and many other useful 'stuff'.
    @tilleroftheearth good advice!

    Usually if the right one is spinning you're ok.

    The cpu doesn't normally spin all that much.

    Left fan is for the CPU, it usually stays at low speeds unless you do something really intensive. The right fan is for the GPU, download HWiNFO64 + wPrime or prime95, open the sensor tab in HWiNFO and run the other program, check the CPU temps and indicated fan speed.
