    I am looking for info on a guide to install a 330w Dell PSU on a g73jh...I have been looking with no luck...Any help would be appreciated.

    You can look up my mod guide if you like, obviously use an Asus tip cable instead.

    probably better off getting a right angle cable as well from ebay... trying to find thicker gauge cable...

    The best cables are harvested from good quality 180w PSUs.

    No data pin so no way to use an ID chip.

    Nothing better or safer than replacing the cable with new solder at the PCB.

    is it possible to use 12 gauge speaker wire to make the ac adapter cable?

    That's the right tip but the simple contact points for the wire is not going to deliver 15 amps very well.
