When i am running games on my asus g73jw-a1 it goes up to about 83 degrees celcius and im worried that it might fry the gpu
i have it overclocked at 800/1600/1500 at the moment
should i drop the overclock or is it because of ventilation??
please help

CPU scary time 90oC
GPU scary time 100oC
You could even say 95oc and 105oC is scary time if you have the JH you personally are not even touching the seal. Game harder and try to hit 85+oC.
Blow the vents out. No need for a repaste in your case. -
alright thank you very much, also another question i have been reading the forums and have been trying to find a good OC for the 460M, what are the average OC values?

Sadly this is not my area of expertise I have an ATI.
You will however notice different results from person to person because every chip will be different. Personal overclocking and stress testing will achieve you your personal highest overclock more than trying other peoples attempts that cause you to lock up. Trial and error is the way forward.
Here is a recent post by El Waffleboy have a look through there are some results and you could post yours and ask for others to compare if you like.

hmm now im getting alittle worried
97 CPU/93 GPU Max -
The sandy should not be running that hot that is 3oc away from TJ.
Repaste might be required after all. Post a screenshot of your HWINFO sensors if you can because it appears your CPU fan might not be doing its job.
