Randomly when I boot up my Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, it get's stuck on the "Welcome" screen. The circle keeps spinning continuously. But it looks like the screen has been squeezed to the middle with black spaces on either side. Almost seems that the resolution has changed. I pressed my Power button, wait a few seconds, and press Power button again, and it is back on the Lock screen, I click on my Username, and all back to normal. BUT sometimes I can't get in at all. As I am now on safe mode posting this thread.
I have a feeling it is something to do with my graphics drivers. I have installed the latest Nvidia drivers from the website which is version 301.42 for my Nvidia Geforce GTX 560M card. I could be wrong though.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried a recovery? The next step would be a clean install. Maybe on a spare hdd so you don't lose anything.

I think you could try giving this drivers a shot

Just be sure to download modified INF file and put it into the proper folder before trying to install driver.

CrossNF , which Nvdia drivers do you use, from Laptopvideo2go? Or do you go to the Nvdia website? -
I'm currently using the ones i linked from laptopvideo2go (used the modded inf from them) - 302.71 64bit, but I'm not using 3D too much these days. The 301.42 WHQL caused too much problems for me with games like Diablo3, Heroes Of Newerth and Battlefield 3.

Yes I have looked at Laptopvideo2go, but the 302.71 only has WINDOWS 8 64 bit drivers (not Win7). Is that the one you used?
