Hey guys, what's better? The new G771JM or the older G750JM? In Canada the G771 is only available as the JM model and the JZ and J.S of the G750 are outside of my budget. So if it came down between G771JM and G750JM, which would you choose? The older G750JM has dual fans so I'm more inclined towards it as I'll be gaming and using the laptop in a tropical country. How is G771's single fan? Is the cooling as good as the G750 or less adequate? I understand the G771 is thiner and less weight but I don't plan to travel with my laptop, but just to use it at home. Still, it's of course nicer to have a sleeker laptop. But I'm not ready to compromise the weight and size over a less effective cooling that the G750 seems to offer. What would your guys pick be? Please help me out as I have to make a decision before tomorrow.... Thanks..

I would suggest the G751JT if you can afford it... The 860M is obsolete so not a good idea to get either of them..

It's maxwell and pretty efficent, it's just designed for smaller machines for the most part.

If that really is your only choice then I would likely go for the G750JM.

860M is obsolete and if you can wait and save up I'd just go for more powerful GPU such as 870M, or 970M.

Technically it's the 870M that's obsolete now, the 860M is a newer design, with some tweaking it's a pretty potent option though yes the 870M is a decent bit faster at stock.

    It all depends on:

    A) the price you are paying.
    B) The warranty on the machine.
    C) What you have available to you.
