I recently upgraded to windows 8.1 but after a couple days, I decided to restarted the computer, and now the computer only gets BSOD. Should I return the SSD as I still have 14 days on the SSD or should I just try reinstalling windows 8?

Kind of sounds like a driver issue to me. I doubt that your SSD is at fault. Insure you have all the latest Asus Drivers. There were drivers released yesterday for 8.1. Also you might want to in the BIOS turn off Secure Boot, and enable CSM, You could have a driver that is not signed and secure boot is preventing you from booting. did you Run the compatibility test? If you were warned about a program driver remove it befor updating again. Check with the manufactor for an updated driver. Hope this helps

I disabled secure boot and enabled csm and I get the BSOD still. I am stumped may need to reinstall windows 8 then.

Yes likely a conflict somewhere, did you install any updates or drivers before the first restart that went bad? Can you boot into safe mode?

I tried to boot into safe mode and nothing worked still kept getting a BSOD. I ended up doing a fresh install, and have been installing drivers from my laptop cd. My only concern is that when I go to PC info it does not show Asus as the brand anymore.

Many thanks for the clean install guide, the ROG logo does shoe on boot, but Asus is not listed as the manufacturer under PC info. I will try doing another clean install and follow that guide or just look for factory image.

Yes it wont have any impact on programs or key validation.
