    Can someone canfirm or deny that the G751JM with 860m has Optimus?

    Yes it comes with optimums..

    My had my hand on one last night, and had to disable it... for a certain game / benchmark test....

    You wont be able to disable the optimus.

    Well yes. .. Not like on the alienware. ..
    Open nvidia settings and changed it in the global configuration from auto to the nvidia card and that worked for me. .

    If an application isn't on the whitelist then this is exactly what you can do to make it right.
    Or you can add application itself to the white list since running on the GPU all the time can consume more power as well as generating more heat.

    It should auto detect most applications and assign them automatically but if the performance does seem very slow it's worth checking the EXE in there yes :)
