So I finally got my Asus P278 in the mail, 2560x1440 HDMI Displayport DVI and VGA Inputs.

I am happy to report that the G75V can run 2560x1440 via hdmi (it does support 1.4a) Just used the provided HDMI cable asus included in the box, Also I can run the native rez through the mini displayport as well.

So I hook up the Asus Via displayport, a 27" viewsonic via HDMI and a 19" lcd tv via VGA and they can all run independantly in extended desktop mode, pics to support:

I never had to around with any custom resolutions either when connected with HDMI it just recognized the proper rez.

So in closing it is in theory possible to run 2 2560x1440 screen externally on a G75V possibly any GTX660 enabled laptop providing the laptop supports HDMI 1.4a

Nice :) Too bad that it doesn't has 2xHDMI or 2xDP, VGA is a bit old-fashioned.

This is very cool, hopefully we see more of this as mini DP connections and the like are very small and on thicker machines stackable too.
