I recently just bought myself this laptop. However I've been encountering random lag spikes whenever I play games. Obviously this can't be do to a single game since it has been happening to all of the games that I've been playing.

Changing graphics settings does nothing and I've tried different drivers but that hasn't changed anything. If anyone knows of any possible solutions to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

If you just got the machine the issue could be Windows indexing your hard disk and/or updating itself in the background. Give it a few hours and see if the problem goes away.
