Hi, I’ve recently bought ASUS GL502VMK. Last week while playing a high CPU demanding game I noticed high fps drop due to Power Limit Throttling, my load temperatures were over 95C. So, I decided to re-paste the CPU and GPU. I bought Pactum PT-1 4W/m-K and GP-Extreme Thermal Pads 12W/m-K 1mm and 0.5mm.

After repasting I downloaded ThrottleStop and MSI Afterburner. In ThrottleStop I undervolted the CPU -137.7mV and Disabled Turbo, as for MSI Afterburner I used onjax curve profiles. The load temperatures dropped, while playing PUBG I get around 78-82C and while playing League Of Legends I get around 68-72C. But the idle problem remains, while not having any CPU activity my temps are around 65C. My room temperature is 23C and I’m using Trust GTX 220 Cooling Pad, do you have any tips how I can decrease my idle temperature?

don_svetlio In the Pipe, Five by Five.
Check what is causing the clockspeed to remain high (most likely) - also, if you have a G-sync panel, that is probably the reason as the dGPU is constantly active.

Fixed it. By changing Power management mode in Nvidia Control Panel to Optimal Power, and changing processor power management, minimum processor state to 5% in windows' Power plan.
