    Hey people!
I need a laptop for designing and gaming on the spare time. Im between the Asus Scar gl503ge and the MSI GP63. Does anyone here use it with this purpose? How is the heating issue when playing more than 2 hours?
    Thanks :)

They'll hit similar temps, though I think the ASUS will get a little hotter, at least to the touch.

Both are good for your case.
    I do like Asus' design/looks.

Well, thats true, the scar edition is more professional looking!
But no use if heats it up. Thats actually the main complain that I hear about the gl503 model (and that it has cheap plastic parts). I didnt go for the msi because I know Asus screen is good, but cant find info on the screen of the MSI.

While I would not use plastic vs metal components as a gauge for overall quality, the heat comparison is definitely a valid one.

Hi Carol! one of my childhood friend have the MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE (i7-8750H, GTX 1060, FHD) Xotic PC Edition Laptop and he like to play games a lot. But, I never heard any such heating problem in their laptop nor listen any complain from him till now. But I have noticed one thing that he cares his laptop very nicely.

I don't know much about ASUS because i never use it but just like "Support.3@XOTIC PC" said They'll hit similar temps. I also agree with him because continuous use of any electronics makes him to heat up.

It's mostly about how each dissipates its heat if they've got similar components. For some reason the ASUS seems like a little more of that waste heat ends up in the keyboard area

If heat is a concern, add a laptop cooler underneath it to promote air circulation and you probably can get a few degrees lower.

    Hello lovely people!
Thank you everyone for answering me! Laptopmag posted a review on the MSI leopard version that I wanted to buy (8RD) and apparently even if their screen has a 100% coverage on sRGB, the color deviations and brightness are terrible. So it will be the Asus with or no heating!
    Cheers!

Are you talking about MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE? There are actually other variants available that you can pick from with better display.
