    Asus GV75VW GPU upgrade?

    I bought a used GV75VW with a 660 bad GPU can I upgrade it to 670 gpu or not?

    To an Asus 670 from the exact G75 model with it perhaps, you may need to flash the system bios to that model too as I THINK the vbios is integrated into the system bios.

    If that is the case where would I look to find the 670 bios that would work? I heard that as well it was vbios that is what prevents GPU switches.

    It would be the system bios for that model in that case. It's integrated into that if not on the card.

    So if I putting in a GTX 670M not the MX then just updating the bios should be ok? Finding a 660M was harder then it looks on eBay.

    All three of the cards you listed - 660m, 670M and 670MX all use different cores and would all need a bios that supports them.

    I thought the MX version was for the 8.1 Windows version as I looked and didn't see a 670MX but a 670M and 660M version only. So I doubt one can get a 670MX - I found sites showing the heat sinks differences but heard 670M and 660M would work without a BIOS MOD but for the MX requires BIOS MOD to work.
