Help! For some reason my laptop has much lower volume while gaming (PUBG), this is not the case when playing videos from youtube. I have tried installing the latest drivers from Microsoft and Realtek to fix the issue but to no avail, the volume at volume mixer has been maxed out as well.

There is also no Enhancement tab to add the Loudness Equalizer..

@Mortinator - see if this @j95 mod works better. Follow the instructions explicitly. If it works well, don't update. Updating drivers only because there are newer ones available is not a good approach. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is a good rule to follow.

Make sure Dolby Digital Plus is not enabled. That always kills my volume. You can right click the system tray icon to check and toggle it on or off

Thanks. By unsuccessful do you mean the problem is the same, or installation failed?

Have you looked in the audio device advanced properties in Device Manager to verify Windows is using the correct default audio output device for the sound output while gaming? Maybe some sort of error is causing it to use the communication (telephony) audio device while gaming. I have actually seen that happen before.

    Still having the same problem.

My PUBG volume got significantly better after I changed some settings on Spatial sound tab. I changed the format to Windows Sonic for headphones and turn on the 7.1 virtual surround sound.

Do all games, not just PUBG, have the same problem? Or, is that the only game you have checked?
