Does anybody know all the models or can we compile a list of series from when Asus started their "Gaming" series of Notebooks? I know ROG started in 2006, was this also when they made their first gaming notebook?

I'd love to see a list of models they made and their specs. ROG/Non-ROG included.. Basically any notebooks that featured a true dedicated GPU.

I will update this post with model numbers and links to pictures/specs for each Asus notebook with dedicated GPU. Forgive me for any errors posted below, please post updates and I will append to this!

All '14 models featuring i7-4700HQ CPU

As far as I remember from writing about laptops since 2006, their first gaming laptops were G1 and G2 series. They were released back in 2006.
Sorry, I have no time now for all the specs (there's a plenty of them), but the model names and their years of production are listed below. This is based on my memory and my posts from archive. You can go to Laptoping ( Laptoping | Windows Laptop & Tablet PC Reviews and News ) and search for "asus gaming laptops" for details (some of the archived posts are deleted now, but many are still available).

    Asus G2 17.3" and G1 15.4" - 2006
    G70 / G50 ~2008
    G71 / (not sure about 15.6-incher) - 2009
    Asus G73 / G51 - 2010
    G74 / G53 - 2011
    G75 and G55 - 2012
    G750 - 2013
    G750 refresh - 2014

I have a hole in memory for 2007 models.

Also, in 2014 they released the G56JR for Asia 2014, but that's basically a rebranded N-series entertainment laptop. I think that since the G70 / G50 they had corresponding N-series models, but they're not purely gaming machines as you said.

They also had ASmobile branded notebooks with desktop CPUs and dedicated video cards. They were on the market around 2007-2008.
