    Hi Everyone,
I have just ordered one of these laptops and there doesn't seem to be too much discussions about this particular model. The configuration I have is

CPU Intel Core i7-2670QM (4C, 2.20GHz, Turbo Boost to 3.10GHz)
    RAM 16GB
    Hard Drive 1.5TB (2x 750GB 7200rpm)
    Screen Size 15.6"
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 3GB
    Resolution 1920x1080
OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

The processor is second generation I7 and I know there are third gen i& available now but the deal I got was way too good. Here in Australia most of the places are selling them for around $2200-$2500 with some selling them for $2999. I got it for $1298.
The only issue I have is the hard drive. I would rather prefer one of the hard drives to be a SSD. I am a software guy and have never really cared much about hardware. What I want to know is How much easy it is to replace one of the hard drives with a SSD on this machine? Also, any known issues with this particular model? especially from some one who has owned it.

That model should be pretty much a G74SX in disguise as far as the internals go. There will be a few minor differences, but if you want an idea of how the laptop will perform, it's a good place to start.

Sadly for how much you payed you could of got a G75 with a 3rd gen i7 and a GTX 660M and a chipset that supports trim in RAID0

I am not sure where you found an asus G75 for $1298 or close. Here in australia most places are selling them for $2000+. Besides you cant beat an Asus lamborghini on looks.

I bought one of these 2 years ago, as just out of warranty. Last year about when you posted I changed all 3 HDD's for 3 960GB Crucial M5 Solid State Drive SATA III 6Gb/s. Has made a huge difference to the laptop much faster start up and shut down. I downloaded a video on how to dismantle the laptop from U-Tube that is a must, there are a couple of sneeky screws. Great laptop.

My only real issue is the screen gets all distorted if I have traveled far with it in a bag, must compress the case some how but the screen comes back with a push and a prod on the case in a few places. I was wondering if the graphics card can be upgraded to say a GTX 880M ? if not looks like a new laptop :) and sell this one.

3x 960GB drives lol, need for speed and capacity there, nice.

Asus either solder their chips or make them custom and not upgradable but since your model is based on the G73 IIRC you may be able to mod a card in (the 780M wont work due to optimus vbios conflicts but something like the 770M would).
