Hi all, just wondering if anyone has managed to get hold of the Asus ROG G551V Skylake refresh yet?

Alternately, does anyone have an opinion on the prior G551J model and would the same advantages/caveats carry over to the refresh? I had a quick hunt around the forum and there doesn't seem to be any dedicated chatter about that particular model, only the N551.

According to the New Zealand supplier the G551V is now available, specs are in this online retailer link:
Seems like a pretty good laptop on paper, and the design is a bit sleeker than the current GL552 (but not quite as thin as the G501 and also lacks the 4K screen). 2GB of VRAM is probably the only drawback, but I guess the graphics core is still "only" a midrange part so it doesn't really matter.

I'm looking at buying one as the successor to my U30, so opinions are appreciated! Thanks.
