Hey so i bought an 2014 ROG it has the following specs.
    16g memory
    intel core i7-4700 @ 2.40GHZ
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 770M
    Windows 8.1

Im currently having huge performance issues.. I'm wondering if i have high expectations or if there is possible something wrong with the laptop itself..

I can barely run HOTS on medium graphics and the FPS is just garbage...
    Does that sound about right?

Have you run any GPU benchmarks like 3dmark to get a number to compare to others?

Make sure you are plugged into power not just the battery, and make sure your Windows power option is set to high performance.

Also worth checking the nvidia card is being used rather than the IGP.

Yeah, plugging it into power is a must. Then also make sure you run the latest Intel and Nvidia GPU drivers (you have to install both probably).
I also recommend to run 3DMark, that way you can compare the performance to other peoples unit.

Installing the Intel GPU drivers on the G750 isn't really necessary as, to my knowledge, this system does not come with nVidia Optimus. I have almost the same system as OP (mine has the GTX 765M) and it does not have Optimus.

That being said, I haven't tried Heroes of the Storm on my system, but from what I've heard, it's a poorly optimized game.

Just double checking here, you're right for this model since it's a 7xx series, it should be dGPU only. The 8xx series did introduce optimus which is where the confusion has come from.

Just checking the nvidia drivers and running a 3dmark to check performance is ok is the best idea in that case.
