    I don't know how to describe it but here goes.

    You guys know that screen protector with the warranty sticker on it. When You first buy your G73JW or JH you have to rip it off. It is tape on to your laptop. Does anybody know where you can buy that? Today my laptop got scratch and so I decide to dig in the box again to get that screen protector out but there was stickers on it. I slowly rip the sticker out but no luck it left some sticky stuff on it.

    I'm looking for a screen protector but one that does not stick to my LCD. I want one that I can put over the top of my LCD and then use tape to tape it on the side.

    I think you are looking for a notebook skin.

    Edit: oops misread your post. You are probably not looking for a notebook skin. :p You can probably use a solvent to get the sticker residue off of the plastic sheet.

    I never took mine off. Gives hell of a glare but i havent unhooked from my external monitor yet so it doesnt bug me. Keeps the screen clean. My kids have a habit of coughing and sneezing all over it then cleaning off the screen with a licked finger so the plastic keeps clean up a snap. . Drives me nuts. Another thing i do is keep a external keyboard hooked up with a wireless mouse. Keeps the wear on the computer down for higher resale value down the road. Thought i would share. =-p

    I know what you mean. I don't want to be greedy, and hog my computer. I also don't want people to sneeze and babies to tough the screen. When I first receive my G73JW-3DE in december I wanted to keep the thing on, but there were stickers on it so I decided to take it off. I try to google but all it gives me are screen protector. Do you know what the thing is call?

    You can make use of acetate sheets used in old-school screen protectors.

    By the way, don't throw the screen protector provided. You might be able to remove the sticker residue on it by using micro-fiber with alcohol. If you're patient enough, you may use your index finger by rubbing the residue off.

    Regarding keyboard protector, I don't know in your country buy I have bought a keyboard protector here in my country. Mine is really great and I've made use of cutter it to make the whole trackpad fit to it.

    Here's what mine looks like:

    my vote is for alcohol. It's my favorite cleaning agent.
    Powers away fingerprints, nasty Asus tech monkey goo, and sticker residue.

    Also, how do you scratch the screen on your computer? I've had a couple laptops in my time and never, even when replacing them, scratched them.
    ;3 I don't get it.

    i am sorry but that looks ridiculous. you have managed to make a sleek looking laptop look ugly. i understand you want to protect your investment but come on. your laptop reminds me of those couches that are covered in plastic.

    Go pay 50-100 dollars and have people install professional laptop screen protectors and embed keyboard protective cover over it then.

    I don't know about stores in NA offering such services, but there are stores in China that can custom make a soft rubber keyboard skin that specifically fits your laptop keyboard and a part of it is underneath the keyboard once they install it so it doesn't look bad and stays in place.

    Im gonna have to agree. I am not against people doing this or anything similar to it, but IMO this makes the g73 look ridiculous. I never had any issues with scratches, dents, or cracks with any of the laptops Ive ever own so Im not too concerned about my g73, though I am very careful with it. I can see my friends/family making fun of me if they see me with all that plastic on my laptop.

    Not a problem with me. Using screen protector and keyboard protector is common here in my place. I don't want dust, stain or liquids to get into my illuminated chiclet type keyboard and get hard time to remove it. As with my screen, some people are fond of pointing at your LCD when they want it. I've experienced it and noticed the scratch that it made so it's better than no protection from those kind of people.

    I'd like to preserve the mint condition of my beast so that when I want to buy a new higher model, I can still sell it with a higher price and avoid being bargained because of scratches or accumulated dirts that are almost impossible to be removed.

    OMG my whole family has to touch the screen when they point at stuff. I really want to put up a sign that says "DONT TOUCH MY SCREEN!" but my wife wont let me. If you aren't mobile alot i would just invest in a external keyboard. Put the laptop up on a cooler and you never have to touch it unless your going mobile.

    Have to agree that plastic on your keyboard looks fubar.

    @kanagye

    It's not plastic, it's silicon film.

    @JehutyZeroshift

    Thats what i'm looking for. The thing that protects the screen. Does anybody know where to I can get it. I've try amazon and ebay but no luck. All I see is that nasty screen protector that sticks to my screen like a sticker. I pill the sticker off of my original one but left some residue, i then scratch the residue off but then scratch it so I toss it.

    I'm not sure where to look for that kind and size of clear film (the one came from Asus placed on the screen). If you can't find any, you may try acetate films used on old-fashioned projector, but I'm not sure if there are sizes up to our screen.

    Well... In office supply stores here they have lots of sizes, I don't know their biggest but I've earlier bought A3 format from them... if that's a international measure... if not; A4 is normal sheet of paper size while A3 is two sheets of paper next to each other, that is definetly big enough
