Overpowered 17+ is solid for me. Else MSI GP73 is a tad bigger and has about 5% better performance in games.

Chassis looks the same as the gl702vs. You sure that issue wasn't in just one game did it do it in other games?

Well, I admit there were plenty of dips when I first got the laptop. After some tunings, I think its somewhat usable now.

Seems like the new bios gets the job done. Fans kick in much sooner and I don't see any noticeable dips. PUBG taxes a lot on GPU, unless I use 1080/2070, I prefer to let it all low to get the most fps for playing the game competitively.

Right on, I was going to sell mine anyway with the RTX laptops dropping soon. Although I still don’t believe my issues would have been fixed with 3.07. Happy its working out for you though!

I think RTX will make the ultimate 1080p experience. For me, somewhat I want to cap my experience so I can spend more time on other kinds of stuff. I believe one thing that Asus has improved the fan curve, other things that make the double the BIOS file size remains a mystery for me. So far, I'm confident to say that the laptop works as expected when gaming. I will post another video with no tweaks for you to for evidence.

No need, I believe my laptop had more serious issues although they did replace my mobo once and the issues still continued. Anyway that nightmare is over. The countdown to CES is on!

That game is unoptimized trash and I wouldn’t base my laptop choice on that one game. The graphics look like junk on ultra I can find games 10 years older that look better than that trash. My 1070 plays it fine at 60fps on the highest settings the issue is the game has a weird hitch regardless of what you do. Played it on a 1080 it system as well...still looked like garbage. Don’t get me wrong fun game but it uses way too much resources considering how terrible it looks.

Even my poop clevo manages constant 130FPS (locked due to 120hz screen). That bug seems nasty. GPU is almost asleep.
