Is missing the up arrow on the keyboard. Also the space key only works if you hit it dead on. I don't know if that's a design issue or if the spacebar key is messed up in some way. I'd like to know if I can just replace one key or do I need an entire new keyboard? I've looked for a service manual but can't find one online. My main issue with a new keyboard is having to take apart the entire thing. It's not obvious to me by looking at the machine how the keyboard comes out.

When you mention the spacebar key is messed up has it always been this way or did it just start happening. The G50V has been around for a while some im guessing you're had the computer a while. Has it always done that or just stared to. You can try to reinstall the ATK drivers. If that doesnt help then you will have to get a new keyboard. I dont know of being able to just get keys themselves but you can order a Replacement Keyboard from Asus

I got this machine from a friend 2 weeks ago in a trade for a spare desktop. It has overheating issues and it'll only run league of legends with the bottom off and raised half an inch, otherwise temps hit 100+ and frames drop to 10/sec. I ordered 12 of those ram heatsinks and once I receive them I'm hoping they improve the built in cooling system.

Looks like I found a video for keyboard replacement.

how to take a keyboard off of an asus g60v; g51v; g50v - YouTube

Looks pretty easy; I didn't notice the tabs when I was looking at it earlier.

Edit: I'd also like to know if I can use a different style of keyboard from a similar asus model. I prefer the chicklet keyboard style.
