    Asus g53 boot up problem...

    Ive been trying to fix for almost a whole day its getting really annoying...
    I used my laptop this morning for abit n decided to play Skyrim when i got ingame it just shut down. Turned it back on and this is what i get

    Ive tried everything... Restart with battery only without battery just ac woth both.. Nothin works so far...
    Im losing my freaking mind here...
    Ps vid isnt my laptop but this is whats happening to me..

    Sorry to hear that, remove battery and AC adaptor, press and hold the reset button 10 seconds on the bottom, (You will need a staightened paper clip),
    The try to boot from AC or battery
    Also while totally disconnected press and hold the power on switch for 15 seconds, then try to boot from AC or battery.

    Where is the reset button i cant find it ...????
    I tried the hold the power button to release doesnt work..

    Open up the underside panel, and pop out some RAM. Then try and boot. If it works, hit F2 and reset to Defaults. Shutdown, and replace the RAM. Boot up.

    It would also help to know which G53 you have.

    I got my wife's G53SW-XN1 back from an RMA from the power pin dislogging in the a/c adapter. They fixed the issue, but doing any intensive programes (Old Republic in our case) would Immediatel shut down the machine.

    As state above, I unseated a stick of RAM (the top side RAM though, right under keyboard - to make it easy on me), Restored Defaults in the BIOS and rebooted.

    Attempted to run the game and it functioned without issue - thank you for posting the above fix, saved me alot of time & more possible RMA woes :)
