    Hey

just got my hands on one of theese asus g53SW.

    right now it´s a 2410m´..

Have anyone manage to Overclock theese? i know u can overclock Gpu.. but how about the cpu?

Any hardware mods? or just softmod for fsb? or using trottlestop?

tried to find a g53 thread with good info but..

So what kinda cpu can i swap to?

Been looking at theese: is it a direct Swap?

I don't believe you can overclock or change voltages on ivy bridge or sandy bridge mobile CPUs. ThrottleStop helps immensely if you force turbo clocks.

As for the 460m, there is a modified vbios that raises the voltage to .97 V. For me stable clocks are 820 memory, 1490 shader.

    Okey.

Well is it possible to force Turbo multiplier on all 4 cores? or doesn´t it work because you reach maximum TDP?

Is it possible to change maximum TDP on the 2630 on the one u have? so in that way being able to use TURBO multiplier on all 4 cores??

And about the 460m Bios.. where can i get ahold of that?

And is there a guide about flashing it? only possible in DOS?

And is everything else fully functional?

Does it increase the Gpu voltage or is it for the memory?

    /Thx

Yeah, ThrottleStop can force turbo on all 4 cores. Unfortunately, I don't think you can modify the TDP. Honestly though, the CPU is really tough and the GPU will usually be the bottleneck.

Here's a link to the 460m Overvolt thread.

Flashing it was pretty easy and I never ran into any problems. I've been running 825/1470 full-time without any problems and get about ~2500 in 3dmark. Yes, it raises the voltage for the GPU only.
