Just wanted to know if there was any way, or any mod I can do to drop the GPU temp. I drilled out the fake grill with the silver ring and, put in a real grill, my CPU temps are around 30c but my GPU temps are always aroun 70c to 80c doing nothing, thats not with any gaming... should I open her up and add some AS5? any help would be great..

Replace thermal pads/repaste would be your best option. Also, get a laptop cooler if you can. If that still doesn't work, maybe you have a BIOS issue or fan problem.

Thermal repaste should be the last option, i had the same problem and with a simple upgrade of BIOS, vBIOS and drivers (after fresh install), also a little compressed air un the vents and im idling at about 48. Not everybody has the skills or patience to take a laptop apart, and put it back toguther. Dont repaste, do a fresh install, install up to date drivers, upgrade bioses and you should be good.

I did the "cooling mod" on youtube... I was even stupid enough to cut the blue wire.... This only makes my laptop unstable... :( I need to buy a whole new bottom cover, and some how get the little blue wire connected again.

trust me, nothing will give as good results as a fresh install, updates bioses, updated drivers and a good injection on compressed air in the vents. This should always be the first option anybody tries.

I don't think it's able to be controlled with software, at least with any utilities that I've seen or heard of, sorry.
