    Hi guys.
So i still have my asus g60. And i use Aida64 , and in the northbridge section it says this board supports DDR3. Does anyone know if it does or not? Considering DDR3 is by far cheaper than DDR2.

    Many thanks!

DDR2 has 200 pins, DDR3 has 204 pins, the break after the pins are different so it's not physically possible to use ddr3 in a ddr2 memory slot.

This you're stuck with the type of memory that initially came with the laptop. You could probably bump it to 8GB DDR2, but that is something i decided not to do considering how expensive a set of 2x4GB DDR2 is.
