    We'll I just bought my g71gx rx05 from tigerdirect about a week ago and i have a couple questions with some things.

    First off I was playing GTA4 on this and it was perfect until about an hour and the fps dropped blah blah so i googled to see if i could fix the problem and found out i needed to update the current BIOS blah etc..

    Sooooo, I put the disc that came with it labeled "Asus Driver Update" in and installed most of the 'drivers' if thats what they're called.. anyways it fixed a couple things but i don't know if it had fixed the main problem the BIOS was made for which was the overheating. I'm looking through my system info and it says this for BIOS

    BIOS version/date : American Megatrends Inc 0904, 27/04/2009
    SMBIOS version : 2.4

    Do either of those tell you if it's up to date, i don't know what the most recent version is.If those don't seem up to date can somebody tell me how to successfully update my BIOS without bricking my new laptop's graphics card :D?

    Another thing, whenever im typing fast i will press a key and instead of just one letter it keys in two( L key = LL) Is this a keyboard problem or malfunction internally ?

    Thanks for reading, if you know how to solve these please let me know i will update this with any other problems and or things that are solved as well .

    Underlined = solved
