So, my friend's g72 has an issue with the fan, where something is rubbing against it and making noise. Also, it causes to fan speed to slow down and thus his computer overheats. I had heard that asus would replace the fans on these and stick in a more functioning g71 fan in. He is competent enough with computers to do it himself, but we can't seem to find any places to buy these kinds of replacement parts. Anyone know of a place? Or a potential fix for this?

Is it still under warranty? if so, Asus should replace the fan for free.

Maybe it's bogged down with dust?
