Last night I powered down my laptop after browsing the Internet. When I turned it on this morning, the screen stayed entirely blank and dark and never displayed the Asus logo or anything. I eventually hear the windows startup sound, and if I mash keys I get the automated 'type without a keyboard' voice. I have tried fn plus f7 to turn on the screen, I've tried reseating the harddrives, and I've tried with/wihout battery and all that. What could this possibly be? How could a screen connection with come loose without me even moving the laptop???

Just to rule out a video card issue, what happens if you connect to an external monitor or Television?

Nothing seems to happen. I press fn f8 to get it to the other screen but nothing happens.

Bump. I decided to open it up and check the cables, everything seems fine... Anything else I can do while I have it open? If I have to rma I might cry.
