    Hello,

Any idea how to remove it for cleaning. The dust air left some white residue on it, and i would like to open it up, and clean it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Use a brush to clean it. Takes about a minute and you are done.

You'd have to take the system apart including detaching the LCD.

I doubt that it is efficient enough to clean dust as I used that before and it seems like useless for small crevices.

What is camel hair brush? Anyway, is it effective in cleaning the mesh grill?

OIC. I would consider that into my list. Currently, I'm thinking of getting myself an USB powered mini vacuum although there are many negative comments and reviews about this product. IMHO I believe that if I vacuum the mesh grill everyday, the mesh grill will be cleaner.

I'd be cautious though. A different situation but I used an air compressor to clean the inside of my G51 laptop from underneath. I think I over did it in the fan area because when I booted up again the speakers no longer worked. This might have been a problem with using my HDMI on a monitor or spraying too much and too hard underneath the speakers. I'm still not sure. But after spraying I did have new dust come from underneath the grill near my left speaker. Speakers work fine now but I'm just worried about spraying air too hard could damage something.

After hearing the exp. from you guys, I personally think that I'm not pro enough to do the cleaning by using air compressor. Thus, I better stick to the ori. plan, that is, choose either USB powered mini vacuum or camel brush.
