I had my asus G73J for a little over a year and the past 2 months every now and then it wants me to launch a startup repair. Well last night it boots up to the windows starting but starts black and no colors come. I tried the F9 to factory reset and it brings me their and just sits with the CMD open on a gray windows screen. I'm lost at the moment and any help would be grateful.

    Hi there,

Are you able to get into safe mode by holding F8 during the startup? First try this and see if you can get in to fix the problem and role back any recent software or hardware changes.

If not try holding Alt/Ctrl and F9 this should take you into the factory reset to allow you to repair or reinstall windows.

Was the laptop banged by any chance before this happened? Post back if neither works and you may need to reinstall from scratch.
