Hey guys,
From what I've in this forum, so many people have reported a range of issues with the G73JH. Are there sersiouly that many issues like PSOD, etc?
Is it worth going for the machine? Also, is there an issue of overheating?

THe issues with this machine are pretty much all gone with latest BIOS patches and various other things... I have had this machine sense March and have had no issues at all with it. There definately is NOT any issue with overheating on here unless a fan quits working.

I personally had a lot of problems from my G73JH for the 5 months I had it, I had overheating issues that repasting did not fix as the GPU heatsink was so out of shape is was warping the video board and was no where near flush, also it was completely aluminum with copper tubes where as my new one has a copper core. I had issues with the keyboard scratching into the screen due to flex, the keyboard has alot of flex, I have had alot of problems with the bluetooth and my first G73 died which RMA took 2 months to replace with a new unit since the wait time for their GPU shipments was ridiculous. Since I have received my replacement, updated bios, vbios, drivers, repasted GPU, CPU, system runs pretty much without any issues, this is really my first laptop gaming experience and I can say I wont ever buy another one, only did it because I was deployed, overall gaming experience is equivalent to my desktop that I had 3 years ago.

THanks for the input guys. And Jukens I know how it stings when you buy your first gaming laptop and starts giving trouble from day 1. In the summer I bought an alienware m17x and man from day 1 i Couldnt even play videos or even stream videos online for that matter, so had to return it for a full refund. It was a painful experience. If you dont mind me asking, what laptop are you using now Jukens?

I had the X3 model they replaced it with a X5, bluray upgrade, but like I said the GPU heatsink was a better design as well with a copper core on the new one for some reason. When I said "the 5 months I had it" i was referring to the X3 model before it died and I RMA'd it, I've had the X5 for a couple weeks now, repasted it immediately.

thanks for the input Jukens. Sounds like a lot of hassel for the amount spent on the laptop

Its just hit or miss... seems that the A1/A2 models had limited issues while all the others from online retailers such as newegg.com ro Best Buy have seen the majority of issues which is the X models...
I personally have the A2 model and was one of the first ones to receive theirs when they became available so im not disappointed at all with a first shipment laptop.
