Not sure if the bst7 bit matters or not, but anyway I need the recovery disk as I cant seem to find the proper drivers for everything on Asus's site (some dont even work for my laptop, even though I'm getting the drivers from the g73jh page) and the recovery partition is gone, since I stupidly formatted my entire HD. When I tried to buy te driver disk bu clicking on the link on the g73jh driver page (purchase recovery media) the page it takes me to doesnt have a US option... anyway, how can I purchase a recovery disk?

Rather than using a recovery disk, wouldn't it be easier to just use a fresh windows 7 install and the appropriate drivers?

When I did a fresh install on an SSD was very easy, a lot of the drivers are automatically loaded and the ones that weren't are easy enough to install. Plus graphics/intel/ethernet/audio are all available as newer versions from the manufacturers.

Do you still have the driver disc? I was looking for a lost USB stick today and found mine, plus I have quite a few updated drivers archived on my machine from installs. If you need any I could pop them on a file server for you, if that'd help send me a personal message.

After doing a clean windows 7 install the machine has run like a dream for over 2 years, no slow down and super fast booting. Windows 7 really is handy compared to earlier versions requiring regular re-installs!
