Well, after my first adapter fried, I bought one that I found in these forums.

It gets so hot that you cannot pick it up, well tonight I think I fried another.

Weird part, the green light on the brick comes on, but the computer doesn't charge? I do have a 90w back up boxed up somewhere, but I am a bit worried about using it. Planning on just buying another replacement, but I am wondering. Could there be something wrong with the power input on the laptop itself? Isn't the green light on the brick an indication that all is well, and power is going through it?

    Thanks for the help

yes the green means current is flowing, have you overclocked your g73?
if you are then if you go with an 180w that would be great for it.

Good advise ^^^ I know people who have used 90 W apapters, i would test with it but don't do any graphic intense tasks and downclock the GPU just to be extra safe. (100/150 is good)

I haven't overclocked it, it is just the way it was when I bought it. I have used the 90w temporarily while I waited for the appropriate replacement to come in. The only way it would work is if I turned off all my light, and dimmed the brightness all the way down. Even then, sometimes the adapter would shut off, and I would have to unplug it and let it sit for a few minutes again before it would work.

Something I noticed last night, the adapter would not work with the laptop on, but when it was shutdown, the battery light would light up red as if it were charging. So I decided to let it charge for a bit. Then after about 15 minutes the light would start flashing very fast, not the slow, low battery flash. Well today it doesn't work at all.
