Hi everyone. I have the Asus G75vw-bbks laptop with the 660m.
So i became acceptant using the much older 296.97 driver from the Asus Website simply because any of the latest Nvidia 660m drivers from there website always gives me Super low frame rates which is a story am sure everyone's heard all to often. This was still fine by me because 296.97 was giving me awesome performance up until the other day when even that driver started acting up giving me super low frames. If i re install the driver everything works "A" ok again. Until i rebot and then back to super low frame rates. What is this? Like now if i reinstall 296.97 am back to normal & can game as long as i want for hours with no draw backs.. After i rebot back to low frames as if the driver failed or something during the restart.
Why is this happening? And why wont the newest Nvidia drivers work?
Thanks for the help

Thanks for the help. I installed the driver and everything works great. Until i rebot and i get the same thing. The good thing is i found a updated driver that can now replace the 296.97 driver but am still having the problem once i rebot i get low frames as if something as went wrong during the restart. I reinstalled the modded driver again jumped right into game & runs great.
Know why am having the rebot issue anyone?
Thanks for the help guys -
Ok i figured out what the problem was. Am runing WIndowns 7 64bit and when i installed boarderlands 2 it installed all these (x86) & (x64) C++ Redistributable packs. I just uninstalled all the (X86) ones which i probably shouldn't have allowed to begin with & now everythings back to normal. No more low frames and this remains even after reboting. Now the question is.. I wonder can i now install the latest Nvidia driver and still get the same luck. Scared to even try when the issue is fixed just after 2 days of researching and frustration
