I seem to get a lot of screen artifact / video freezing whenever I turn volume up or down, or brightness...basically whenever the on screen display for volume and stuff comes up.
What software do I have to remove to get rid of that feature? Don't really want it anyways...

First try ending this process: ATKOSD32.exe through task manager - processes
IF this fixes it bring up run - msconfig - startup - uncheck ATKOSD2.exe and reboot.
Note your hotkeys should still work.

I want to use the hotkeys though, I just don't want the graphic crap to pop up when I change the volume via the keyboard.

Kill the atkosd2 .exe from task manager. This is the 3d version of the onscreen display that interferes with games.
